R -v -RA – Snaresbrook Crown Court. Operation Aviary.. Represented RA in a multi hander, large scale two Conspiracies of an organised crime group to supply Class A drugs namely Heroin and crack cocaine in Tower Hamlets, London. The complex investigation involved telecoms evidence, namely telecommunications data involving a drug line which was used to communicate with customers. The modern slavery defence under s.45 Modern Slavery Act 2015 was raised. Adam Law Solicitors instructed a modern slavery expert who concluded RA was a victim of modern slavery.
